SOLO Cross Country NAV 7
YRED - YBAF Archerfield - YGDI Goondiwindi - YRED

WOW, out to Goondiwindi, and I cover 367NM SOLO!!!!
I have to admit being themost nervous yet as I headed out in this flight. I've been fighting the weather for most of December and early January so after NAV 6, I was keen to get moving along again.  The general forecast was for showers, cloud at 3000 in places, gloom and doom, even a 30 INTER on my return. Oh no!, But after I spoke to Mal and ran through the forecast, we agree that the most likely place to run into any really bad cloud and showers would be between Gatton and Warwick, and that I could divert around those.  I did indeed divert a number of times but all was well and it was a great solo!

Overhead Millmerran

Overhead Millmerran township. My uncle lives here and I had given thought to making Millmerran a stop on the route but the way the weather was it was lucky I had decided not to. Another trip!!
More showers enroute

The showers ahead of me enroute from Millmerran to Toowoomba. My second and third diversion of the day!
