The Redcliffe Aerodrome is situated 10 nautical miles to the north of the Brisbane CBD and is home to the Redcliffe Aero Club (RAC). The general aircraft handling training areas covers Deception Bay, Bribie Island and the Glass House Mountains areas. The Aerodromes only runway, Runway 07/25, is 853m, with a Field Elevation of 7 feet. The first aircraft to landed at Redcliffe in 1967 and the RAC was incorporated on the 22nd September 1970. Flying training at Redcliffe Aerodrome by RAC commenced in late 1971.
