Welcome to my website featuring my experiences as I learn to fly light planes at Redcliffe Aero Club in Brisbane, Australia!!
The first time I ever flew in a plane was my 13th birthday, which was Sunday 2nd December 1979. Twenty-seven years later to the day, I had my first flying lesson on my 40th birthday. My goal was to gain my Private Pilot's Licence, and with that goal met in July, 2007, I'm moving onwards and upwards to my Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL). Keep up with me through NEW ADVENTURES Diary and watch for heaps more photo galleries!! I hope you enjoy reading my diary and viewing my photos. Thanks to those who show such interest in my site, I look forward to bringing you continuous updates. Perhaps I'll inspire you to learn to fly too!!

LATEST NEWS JUNE 2010
Passed APTL Air Law today!!!! 2 ATPL exams left to go!!!
I have now been flying for Sunshine Coast Skydivers since July 2009. In December 2009 the owner purchased a Navajo to run the ops with!! See the Gallery here. As at the 5th of April I now have 108 hours twin time, 55 in charge, in the Navajo. Wow!!! That means that 25% of my hours are twin time!!! I have been so fortunate to get this many twin hours straight out of CPL!!
The IMPOSSIBLE has happened. I jumped out of a perfectly good plane!!!
Despite my reticence, Sunshine Coast Skydivers have been trying to get me to jump from a perfectly good Navajo. I have resisted for months with great resolve!! However, on Sunday the 4th of April, the team at Sunshine Coast Skydive teamed up on me and, with another pilot in league with them, it was my turn to jump. See the photos from the day in my Parachute Ops Gallery. Thanks to Tibor, owner/operator of Sunshine Coast Skydive, Jason, my tandem master on the day and Mick, the scheming pilot who flew the plane while I jumped!! Awesome fun guys!! Thanks...I think hee hee!!!
